Our Golden Retriever puppy, Bailey, was 4 months old when we took her home from the breeder, so slightly later than you would usually get a puppy from a litter. Bailey was demonstrating some separation anxiety at night, was jumping up visitors (and us), waking up at 5 am and whining until we would get up and whenever you would put a lead on her would just sit down and not budge! Bailey has a lovely nature but was definitely going through a "teenage" stage of rebellion. We contacted Sonia as we just weren’t getting the advice we needed from the books we’d purchased, and despite both having been dog owners in the past, we knew we needed tailored and dedicated help.

Sonia showed us how to teach Bailey what we wanted from her and I think that’s the key – we were given real skills and exercises to practice with Bailey to reinforce the work done in our one-to-one sessions. Each session has been great fun (for both us and Bailey!) with Sonia firstly getting to know Bailey to see what approach would work best for her. The methods are logical and friendly, and we have received a wealth of advice; Bailey has responded brilliantly! She now loves her walks, is great on the lead, we can control her jumping up and the 5 am whining is a thing of the past. We are very grateful to Sonia for working with us to help Bailey see us as the pack leaders and become a happy, well behaved and beautiful puppy and, especially, for giving me the confidence to be a good owner!
